Today, a saviour of the Nation is no more among us. He is a legend, he is the pride of the nation, he is the one who helps this Nation to get strengthened with the power of Nuclear Power and with his critical contribution and by the grace of Allah Almighty, this nation stands among those nations who possess atomic power. He has made Pakistan, world’s first Islamic nuclear-deterrent country.
The Dilemma is that our nation never reimburses back to our scientist, researcher, philanthropist, doctor, teacher who gives their whole to this nation. They don’t even get enough to have a sustainable lifestyle and after their retirement they cannot even straight up the normal ways of living. The same thing happens with him, when gets ill he uses to appeal in front of others. The great Dr AQ khan who’s considered to be the father of Pakistan’s Nuclear Program and is revered at home as a hero for developing the Muslim world first atomic bomb.
Pakistan became the sole nuclear power in the Muslim world and 7th across the globe. I am still ashamed that I can’t do anything for him and even can’t do anything that man with such a profile appeals for help.
Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan was born on April 1, 1936, in Bhopal of British India. Khan attended the University of Karachi where he completed a B.Sc degree in Physics.
He was heavily influenced by the events of 1971, the loss of East Pakistan, and the subsequent test of nuclear explosives by India in 1974, which led him to write to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto expressing his desire to work for Pakistan’s nuclear program. He gives us a strong lifeline of defence, an aggressive answer to all evil power against Pakistan. The patriotism dies when authorities misuses him for their own sake.
Dr AQ khan left his all luxurious lifestyle to serve his country and joined Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) in 1976 and founded the Engineering Research Laboratory, or ERL, to develop a uranium-enrichment capability.
For his tremendous work Dr AQ Khan was awarded with Hilal-i-Imtiaz and the Nishan-e-Imtiaz in 1989 and 1999 for his outstanding performance in the world of science and technology. We, as a nation will remain indebted forever for your selfless services for Pakistan.
