Last Sunday got invited to a private catering event managed by KPav Karachi, a venture by Arun Perwani.

Liked the way the event was set up, but obviously what caught my attention was the food and how it was managed.

They had Sev Puri, Pav Bhaji, Chicken Lollypop, and Chicken 65 (Mumbai style).

Well-trained staff, special attention to how they were prepped and managing the food. Here’s a quick rundown of the food:

Sev Puri – not like the typical Sev puri in a puri but arranged this way, an intense spicy kick at first but the refreshing green chutney and that Sev came to the rescue, good stuff!

Pav Bhaaji – having tried their Vada Pav at their Karachi Eat Festival stall this year and became a fan, with their Pav Bhaaji, they have paid special attention to how they have treated the potato which somehow had such a meaty texture, loved it! went good with the bun, one of the best Pav Bhaaji’s in Karachi!

Chicken Lollypop – ok so this came nicely prepped, fried and that red color made it look much more appealing, the flavors being on point BUT the accompanying sauce took the credit on its own, but for me, the flavors didn’t go well together somehow, but a good product on its own without the sauce….

Chicken 65 – well this was a totally different version of Chicken 65 which is made in a red sauce, but this one was a Bombay version, prepped and fried with curry leaves which were crispy and that spice mix was quite good! came with green chutney and turned out quite good surprisingly!

So KPav Karachi is doing private catering events, so do try them out guys!

Thanks for the invite Arun
